to keep you buzzing all evening!
On June 12 our fabulous Bee Garden Party will take place in the gardens of Marlborough House in Pall Mall in the heart of London.
Marlborough House is a Royal Place and International Head Quarters of The Commonwealth, while the gardens belong to HM The Queen.
Hosted by our charity’s great beekeeping Patrons, Martha Kearney and Bill Turnbull, the Bee Garden Party is a unique and wonderful summer evening celebration of bees.
New this year will be an original bee-art ‘surprise’ sale. Guests will choose bee postcards done by famous artists and celebrities but will not know who the artist is until they’ve bought them. Martha will interview celebrity guests and there will be bee theatre and other buzz-related activities. Bees for Development will display bee hives from around the world.
Guests will enjoy sparkling wines and abundant gin fizz, with bee-pollinated food, accentuating the importance of honey bee pollination and the reliance of world food security on those and other hard working insects. We will challenge you to connect the bees and the food and how you can make a difference for bees here and worldwide.
Of course, this event is in support of Bees for Development’s charity work; alleviating poverty and protecting biodiversity, currently in Ghana, Ethiopia and Uganda, for which all proceeds from this evening will be used.
